Calcium Sulfate Descirption:
Sodium dihydrogen phosphate is used in food industry as quality improver, pH regulator, buffer, emulsifying and dispersing agent, nutrient supplement and water retention agent. Mainly used in cheese, beverage, jelly, tomato sauce, luncheon meat and meat salted products, and can be used as modified starch additive. The amount added in food processing is 3-5%.
Usage:
Uses of calcium sulfate in food include:nutrient, yeast activator, dough modifier, curing agent, chelating agent, gelling agent, baking powder, carrier, filler, PH regulator and abrasive. Among these uses it is mainly used as an ingredient in confectionery, ice cream, and other frozen desserts. Calcium sulfate is also used in beer brewing and is added to the malting process to increase the amount of calcium ions in the water. Calcium sulfate is used as an abrasive in cleaning agents used in contact with foods. Calcium sulfate is also used in cosmetics and toothpaste.
